“Gay marriage is
incompatible with Christianity (and for that matter, Islam & Judaism). If someone asks you
why you oppose gay marriage, the only thing you really have to say to explain it
is, ‘I'm a Christian’ … If that seems harsh or unfair to you, well, sorry, but
you'll have to take it up with God. It's His rule. "Thou shalt not lie with
mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination." -- Leviticus 18:22 The
people of Sodom and Gomorrah could tell you how serious God is about that -- if
there were any of them left. So as a Christian, you can no more condone gay
marriage than you could give the thumbs up to prostitution or wife swapping.
That means if you're a Christian standing in favor of gay marriage, then you're
a Christian who's standing directly in opposition to the God whom you claim to worship … Children will be taught in
schools that gay marriage is normal, legal, and moral … would cause people to
put less value on marriage, make them less likely to get married in the first
place, and make them more likely to get divorced. This leads to more children
being born out of wedlock and kids from single parents
are more likely to commit suicide, take drugs, go to jail, drop out of high
school, etc., etc. in every category that matters than kids from two parent
families. You can already see this starting to play out in Sweden, Norway, and
Denmark and you'll see it happen here, too, if gay marriage becomes
the law of the land.” (2/17/2012)

“Ann Romney, by contrast, looks comfortable
as the earthy, robust, naturally fashionable mother/grandmother figure who
could grace the cover of a magazine devoted to glam grandmothers. She expresses
a depth drawn from her experience guiding five sons to maturity and connecting
now with her 16 grandchildren. Many conservatives in their early flirtation
with Newt overlooked the appeal of the candidate who actually lives by the
family values they say they admire. Even in an expected unflattering portrait
of Mitt in Vanity Fair, he stands out as a family man combining the best of his
Mormon teachings as they apply to his marriage and his children. He looks like
he believes the teaching of his church that ‘no other success can compensate
for failure in the home’ … women as well as men may be beginning to see the
family man appeal. The man married to the same woman for 42 years beat the man
married three times by 22 percentage points among women in Florida, prevailing
across every category of education and income.” (2/10/12)

“In the tone of the late Andy Rooney, one might say, ‘Have you ever noticed’ that, when a bullying policy is pushed, it is usually accompanied by the promotion of the homosexual agenda? I have yet to see any major push to address bullying that was not tied to the left’s sexual vision for our children. The bullying outcry is not so much about students being mean to each other as it is about the left taking advantage of a volatile issue to promote their own agenda … The article goes on to state: ‘In conjunction with the report, GLSEN officials also released ‘Ready, Set, Respect!’ which they describe as ‘a new instructional resource informed by our findings to address homophobia, gender expression and LGBT-inclusive family diversity at the elementary school level. Still think the anti-bullying push is really about stopping bullying? ’” (1/22/12)
“Over
the years I have, as a psychotherapist, worked with innumerable clients who
have bonding problems as adults because of these serial surrogate parenting
experiences. They are truly damaged when it comes to being able to bond and
trust. They relay to me how difficult it is to imagine someone actually staying
with them, how difficult it is to allow tender feelings to envelop them when
they feel so deeply that nothing is permanent … How does a kid with a different
surrogate mother every year actually feel happy about an inconsistent and
temporary life?” (12/28/11)

“My first paying job was cleaning the
bathrooms of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Ga
… I was proud to clean those bathrooms. When my job was complete, I knew that
people had a nice, clean place to go, and that had and has real value. People
appreciate clean bathrooms. Just go into a dirty bathroom, and you will
understand why … Cleaning bathrooms wasn't the most glamorous job, literally
swabbing out toilets, wiping down sinks and making sure that the towels were
restocked, but I knew that it was useful work. It gave me a sense of pride on
Sunday mornings to walk into the gleaming bathrooms … I learned a lot: It is
important to show up on time and stay until your shift is done or all your work
is done, whichever comes later. Not only does the work have value, but so does
the worker. Whether it's cleaning bathrooms or flying jets (which I have never
done), if you do a good job and add value to the world around you, then your
work has value. It doesn't matter so much what you do, it's how you do it. A
valuable lesson for all to learn.” (12/15/11)
“When I was 10 years old I wanted an
expensive, new 10-speed Schwinn bike. I asked my mother -- the late Hollywood
actress Jane Wyman, who could easily afford it -- if she would simply buy the
bike for me. She said she would loan me the money if I signed a note
acknowledging the debt. I said, ‘Mom, I am only 10 years old. What can I
possibly do to make enough money to pay you back?’ She told me I could earn
money by selling newspapers. I signed the note, and every Sunday until I fully
paid for that bike I sold papers in front of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in
Beverly Hills. Later I asked Mom why she made me work for that bike when the
other kids' parents simply gave them their bikes. I'll never forget what she
told me. She said, ‘I build men, not boys, and if you don't learn to work for
what you want now, you will end up as a 40-year-old boy. I want a man’ … What
we have now is … Americans who believe that by merely existing they are
entitled to a host of unearned benefits paid for by money extracted from their
fellow Americans' tax payments. That the pockets of those American tax payers
are not bottomless … has not reached into the minds of this spoiled
generation.” (12/8/11)

“The cultural elites may break out the champagne for their homosexual friends, but their
celebration raises a toast to a sinking ship. Societies that legitimize
substitutes for traditional marriage (homosexual ‘marriage,’ civil unions, cohabitation) inevitably witness the decline of authentic marriage. And as marriage declines,
family structures weaken, producing cracks in the bedrock of a stable
society. The result? Children suffer. The research is clear: children raised without a
married mom and dad do worse on nearly every measure of child well-being ...
Homosexual advocates promote their messages—lies—about marriage and sexuality
through entertainment, media, and the public schools. And their propaganda has hit the mark with many young people. Seventy percent of young adults 18-34 now support
legalizing homosexual ‘marriage.’ Be unequivocal with your children. This
is not about ‘fairness’ or ‘equality.’ It’s about morality and the strength of
civil society. Homosexual behavior is wrong. And homosexual relationships are
not equivalent to heterosexual marriages, no matter what the New York
legislature says. The Family Research Council provides a compelling summary
that documents the societal harms of same-sex marriage. Read it and discuss with your teens
and college-aged children, in particular. They (and you) need a clear sense of
the harms that flow from homosexual ‘marriage’ … Don’t be silent when
others express support for the homosexual lifestyle or homosexual unions.
Unless we are willing to stand up for marriage, our children may grow up in a
society slowly crumbling under the weight of its own perversity.” (7/12/11)
“Various studies have shown that children
raised by a single mother comprise about 70 percent of juvenile murderers,
delinquents, teenaged mothers, drug abusers,
dropouts, suicides and runaways. Imagine an America with 70 percent fewer of
these social disorders and you will see what liberals' destruction of marriage
has wrought ... Single mothers are six times more likely to be in poverty than
married families. More than 80 percent of homeless families are single mothers
… Eighty-five percent of mothers who kill their children through neglect are
single mothers. The plague of single motherhood isn't an inevitable decay
brought on by stupid choices of the underclass. Destroying the family is the
active social policy of liberals. They enjoy experimenting with other people's
lives and leaving the taxpayer with the bill. The mainstream media and Hollywood
studios are constantly issuing propaganda about the joys and triumphs of single
mothers … Except one can't help noticing how many more illegitimate children
there are -- and the accompanying child abuse, neglect, suicide, runaways and
murders -- now that the stigma is gone.” (7/7/11)
“The Roman Empire had a twisted view about
the value of human life. These views were banished by the ascendency of
Christ's teaching. Infanticide was both legal and encouraged in ancient Rome.
Pagan societies, such as the Carthaginians, Romans and Greeks went so far as to
kill their children outside the womb, sometimes as a religious sacrifice to
their gods … We see a modern American society which looks at children as a
burden, and a generation of mothers who have decided by their own ‘choice’ to
sacrifice a generation. Population control is now an international objective.
Roman views on homosexuality were closer to today's views than many realize …
Finally, we see the debasement of money and profligacy of the state … Roman
emperors don't hold a candle to the US Congress and the Federal Reserve in the
looting of the public coffers and destruction of money … Such manipulations by
Roman leaders are legendary, but Americans who fail to understand history are
doomed to repeat it. The moral and financial collapse of Rome lead to a
renaissance of morality and the ‘Christian Era.’ We can only hope that the
accelerating American collapse leads to a return of the time tested honest
culture that celebrates life, prudently shuns sexual immorality, and with
commerce flourishing after a return to honest money. But until that day
arrives, we will continue to fight for these virtues until our last breath.” (7/6/11)

runs the federal government’s Administration for Children and Families, told a group
of high school students at the U.S. Department of Education’s “Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT)” youth summit on Tuesday that the Obama administration is recruiting “LGBT parents” to adopt
children. “[O]f course, we’re also trying to recruit more foster and adoptive
parents who are lesbian and gay,” Hansell said in a
general session of the summit held at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington,
D.C. … In the general session, Hansell, who is an
acting assistant secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services

LGBT people to adopt children.” (6/10/11)

“Do
elections matter? You bet they do! Until last November, there was a real threat
that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) would be ratified by a
liberal U.S. Senate majority. And we’re still not out of the woods on this one.
But thanks to timely action by Sen. Jim DeMint, effective action is being taken
to blunt this threat … Just this week, religious freedom advocates at the UN
prevailed in their years-long fight to beat back a ‘defamation’ code that would
have criminalized any criticism of Islam. God bless these brave fighters for
international religious liberty. But the constant need to watch UN apparatchiks
like hawks should alert Christians throughout the world to this grim and undeniable
fact: the UN majority is not our friend … Parents’ rights? Religious freedom?
The UN CRC is about none of that … If it should ever be ratified, the CRC would
stand above our Constitution, and above our laws and Supreme Court rulings.”

For The Children ™, faux feminists! By For The Children, I of course mean
totally not at all for the children – unless they can be used and exploited to
further an agenda, natch. You see, it’s never actually
about women nor children to them; it’s always about an agenda and an ideology
that treats motherhood as a yoke around a woman’s neck. Motherhood is so old
school and oppressive and stuff! What with those pesky children wanting to be
nurtured and loved, while providing a joy that fills one’s heart so full that
it cannot be adequately put into words. Well, and wanting to, you know, live.
Who do they think they are? … The show was aired commercial-free, in
partnership with Exhale, a group who says that they wish to raise awareness
that abortion ‘is normal
in the reproductive lives of women and girls.’ Yes, every woman’s ‘reproductive life’ (love the fancy-pants
euphemism) includes the killing of an unborn child. You women who don’t have abortions?
Total abnormal freaks! Just look at Sarah Palin, for

“Unfortunately, the nation's biggest
entertainment conglomerates are offering your kids an end-run around your best
efforts to limit their exposure to TV shows to which you might object.
According to a new study from the Parents Television Council (PTC) released
today, kids consume more of their video entertainment through platforms other than
the family television set, thanks to widely accessible videos offered on free,
unrestricted Internet sites … This means your 13-year-old daughter can easily
watch racy shows like CWTV's ‘Gossip Girl’ or past episodes of ‘Sex and the

“Two
troubling movies premiered in late summer; perhaps you saw them. I saw only the
trailers on television, but it was clear that they aimed to continue the
deconstruction of the family, especially the notion that families consist of a
married mom and dad … These films are a continuation of the brainwashing going
on in our media, which proclaims that the needs of the child are best served by
whatever parents want to do: shack up, have babies out of wedlock, multiple
relationships, custody and visitation, complicated and strife-filled
step-family situations, single parenting by choice, choosing not to have the
male/female polarity in the children’s lives, and so forth. This deconstruction
of the family into what is viewed as the ‘modern family’ hurts children. But
social activists don’t care about that. They care about their own choices and
need fulfillment. It is all very, very sad.” (11/15/10)

“Because of ‘expert’ advice such as this,
we’re so consumed with protecting the feelings and self-esteem of our children
-- even bullies – that as a society, we’ve adopted the worst habits of the most
unskilled parents. There’s a huge difference between telling a child, ‘I love
you unconditionally,’ and saying, “You are always good, even if you do bad
things.’ The first statement should be non-negotiable, but the second is a lie.
It’s time to reconnect children’s behavior to their character. The parents of
bullies need to condemn both their children’s’ actions and the character it
reflects by speaking the truth: ‘You are turning into a bad boy. Your words and
actions are mean and they prove that you have developed a cruel and unkind
heart.’ But that’s not all. Children must also learn repentance (so much more
effective than empathy – and also the path to genuine respect for others, after
all). To do this, parents of bullies should lovingly say, ‘Together, we need to
start over to teach you right from wrong so that you can show me and the whole
world that you are a good person. Anyone can go from bad to good. It’s a
decision only you can make and it will be reflected in your actions.’ But hey,
I’m no expert; I’m just a mom.” (10/13/10)

“The attack on the institution of marriage is
not only the biggest cultural but also the biggest fiscal issue of our times,
and political and judicial attacks by gays are only part of the problem.
Marriage is being assaulted by unilateral divorce, feminist hostility toward
marriage, the bias of family courts against fathers and the taxpayer-paid
financial incentives that subsidize illegitimate births … Barack Obama's
solution for the poverty problem is more redistribution of money from taxpayers
to the poor. But there's no evidence that more money is the remedy because
we've been increasing handouts every year, and the problem keeps getting worse
… Rector's solution to the poverty problem is marriage. He urges government
policies to promote and strengthen the institution of marriage instead of
providing incentives to discourage it … Marriage drops the probability of child
poverty by 82 percent ... Ronald Reagan's advice is still pertinent. If we
subsidize something, we'll get more of it; if we tax it, we'll get less of it.”

“The media myth says that ‘gay families’ are
everywhere and just as beneficial for raising children as the traditional
family. Some Americans steeped in these messages on a daily basis are likely to
believe them. Others mistakenly ‘accept’ gay families out of misplaced
compassion … The natural tendency is to think less critically about things we
get used to—so gay advocates keep the spotlight on homosexual couples with
children. Our children must distinguish between what’s right, on the one hand,
and what’s familiar, but dysfunctional, on the other. Ground them in the truth:
marriage is between one man and one woman and children do best when raised by
their married mother and father. This biblical truth is proven by social
science data, by history, and must be protected if

“Marriage is the building block of society.
Changing its nature will therefore change society. Among other things, same-sex
marriage means that because sex (now called ‘gender’) no longer matters for
society's most important institution, it no longer matters in general. Men and women
as distinct entities no longer have significance. Which is exactly what the
cultural left and the gay rights movement advocate … It is the end of marriage
as every society has known it. And it is more than that. It is the end of any
significance to gender. Men and women are now declared interchangeable … The
transgendered who publicly act out are living the cultural Left's primary
agenda: rendering gender insignificant ...
Ask anyone who supports same-sex marriage this: Do you believe that a
mother has something unique to give to a child that no father can give and that
a father has something unique to give a child that no mother can give? One has
to assume that most people -- including supporters of same-sex marriage --
would respond in the affirmative. How, then, can they support same-sex
marriage? … many Americans, including a judge who overturned a state's
constitutional amendment, have come to believe that never having a mother or
never having a father makes absolutely no difference to a child. And if mothers
and fathers are interchangeable, men as men and women as women lose their
significance.” (8/25/10)
“It is said that in order for a country to
culturally mark time and maintain itself “as is” for more than twenty-five
years, it must have a fertility rate of at least 2.11 children per family. Once
a nation slips below an annual fertility rate of 1.9, the downward trend is
believed to be irreversible. When a family has only one child, that family has
half as many children as its parents. If that child follows its parents’
example and it too has only one child, there will be one fourth as many grand
children as grand parents. The irreversible declining fertility rate cycle will
have begun.” (5/4/10)

What the homosexual activists are seeking is not a minor shift in the law, but a radical change in the fundamental institution that forms the basis for society.
